We’ll explore clear expectations, meaningful ways board members can engage beyond “making the ask,” and how boards and staff partner to build a strong culture of philanthropy that advances the mission. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own questions as well - the conversation is not limited to this topic!
This monthly open forum for nonprofit CEOs, presidents, founders, and executive directors to ask questions regarding Board Governance best practices such as the board's responsibilities and organizational well-being. Attend regularly or drop in as you are able!

ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Jessica Cecere is the former Chief Executive Officer of Nonprofits First, Inc. She has been involved in nonprofit leadership for more than 30 years. Ms. Cecere is also a small business owner, consultant, and active community volunteer. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Florida State University in 1986. She is a professional Board/Governance training expert, a former Certified Consumer Credit Counselor, and a former Certified Counselor for both the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and NeighborWorks America.
